Installing Pyret locally

Unlike many other languages, Pyret does not require you to install the language globally. Instead, the developers of Pyret have made their compiler available as an npm package. You will install Pyret using npm for each exercise: there will be more details on the Testing page.

You need to install Node.js, a JavaScript runtime environment. On the Node.js download page, make sure you select npm as the package manager.
